At St Hubert, we want to contribute to a balanced diet by offering optimal nutritional support in each of our products.
Low fat products
As early as 1980, with St Hubert 41®, we offered the first spread that was twice as light as most traditional spreads: only 41% fat! Since then, we’ve continually worked to reduce the fat content of our products. The fat content of St Hubert 41® has been reduced to 38%, and the average fat content of our range is 51.4%. As for our latest product, St Hubert Pépites® de Chocolat, launched in 2014, its fat content is a mere 39%!
Optimal fatty acid composition
The fatty acid composition of our products is always optimised, as these acids do not all have the same effect on our body.
Omega 3 is naturally present in all our products as it is essential and not naturally produced by our body. A daily intake of 2g of omega 3 ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels and a healthy cardiovascular system within a balanced diet.
Thanks to the continuous improvement of our recipes, saturated fatty acid (SFA) content has been reduced in line with public health recommendations. Eating 10g of our products, i.e. the equivalent of one of our spreads on a slice of bread, represents only 10% of the recommended daily intake of saturated fatty acids¹!
1- Average SFA content of St Hubert products: 19.8g / 100g. 1 slice of bread (10g) provide around 2g of SFA, i.e. 10% of 20g (recommended SFA intake, EU regulation 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers)
